Responsibilities of Sales Planning Manager
-Supervise the implementation of the customer investment strategy for Retail Sales & FAFH
-Recommend and manage incremental funding requests across the Retail and FAFH businesses.
-Oversee the Annual Planning process, connecting Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
-Perform monthly reviews on trade spend, promotional effectiveness, and customer profitability
-Work closely with Sales Planning Specialists and support the Sales Development Director
-Coordinate and develop fact-based new item selling stories/fact books in conjunction with marketing.
-Develop formal presentations that support channel strategies, key market information, and new item launches for both Retail and FAFH business.
-Acts as the "eyes & ears" of the Sales team internally
-Work with the Sales Operations & Administration Manager to develop sales scorecards for all priority activities
-Manage customer specific information
-Other duties as assigned
-Must be able to travel 10-15% of the time
-Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Finance; or MBA degree preferred
-6 to 8 years of field sales experience
-Experience with Marketing, category, or Broker and Direct Sales Management a plus
-A minimum of 2-3 years working in a National Office setting, preferred
-Thorough understanding of syndicated data and category leadership principles
-Knowledge of consumer branding, communication, and promotional techniques
-Ability to effectively organize and priorities workloads
-Have strong networking skills and be a self-starter
-Be able to listen, understand, and represent both the external sales point-of-view and the internal Company position
Salary of Sales Planning Manager is up to $130K
