Job Description

A well known company in Rhode Island in the jewelry industry is seeking an experienced Bookeeper. The current bookkeeper has enjoyed a long career with this company and is retiring so the role is open and could be your next job!

Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:

-Post payments to customer accounts

-Process cash receipts and bank deposits

-Post and pay vendor invoices

-Conduct weekly payroll

-Pull quarterly and annual payroll reports

-File state taxes in 12 states and prepare year-end financial statements

-Prepare journal entries and Balance Sheet account reconciliations

-Perform monthly bank/credit card reconciliations and monthly closing

-Answer phones as needed and greet customers as they come in



Requirements of Bookkeeper
-Minimum 5 years experience as a bookkeeper
-Must have Quickbooks experience

-Strong analytical skills

-Good organizational skills

-Ability to multi-task

-Excellent computer skills



Hours: 8:00am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00/hr w/ free health insurance
